     I have now had a couple of days to gather my thoughts from the incredible trip our team took to Montreal.  It was the trip of a lifetime for our team and I cannot begin to express properly how beneficial it was to our players individually and collectively, how extremely well run and organized it was, how wonderful the city of Montreal is, how good the basketball play was (really good coaches and teams), and just how much every single person in our travel party enjoyed themselves!!  It was as good an experience on every level as you can possibly have and that is a great tribute to you and JDSPORTS.

     Our players played against some really good players and teams.  The basketball in Montreal is a really good product that gave the coaches and players the challenges you’d want in taking this once in four years trip.  It was competitive and the X’s and O’s we saw were at a high level.  I know this—to a man, every player and coach improved by going on this tour!!  The city of Montreal is a really cool place!  Very safe, great neighborhoods, and Old Montreal is spectacular!!  And you have the feel of being in another country!  The age of the city, obviously hearing another language more than you hear English is cool, the food, the hotel (great Marriott!), the location……all of that was just perfect.  And the cost of the trip was more than reasonable.  I simply cannot imagine how much some schools pay to go overseas!!  My guess is we paid 1/3 of that to have the very same experience!!

     But the biggest and best part of the whole trip was your “hands on” organizational approach.  Every single part of the day was planned and set in the best of ways.  From meals to practices to games to travel to the games and even to seeing and experiencing Montreal.  Just second to none!  You gave us the confidence and trust and reliability that I am sure is missing when some teams go to Europe or other places.  You are so good at what you do!!  God willing I will be back again in 4 years!!

" The first ever pre-season foreign tour by a St Francis Brooklyn women’s basketball team was nothing short of sensational. The trip to beautiful Montreal, Canada arranged and coordinated with JD Sports was an incredible experience that exceeded every expectation. Our wonderful hosts, John, George and Michel had every detail of the trip meticulously planned and coordinated.  From hotels, meals, sightseeing and games our hosts were with us every step of the way and everything was done in a first class manner. John exudes a great deal of confidence, knowledge, experience, class and professionalism which makes you feel extremely comfortable throughout the 5 day tour.

     One of the main reasons this trip was so amazing, successful and 1st class all the way, was our host Guinness Rider. His knowledge, class, professionalism and hands on approach made everything we did on this trip so amazing. He took us to historic sights such as: Olympic Village (1976 Olympics), Old Montreal, St. Joseph's Oratory and the Parliament in Ottawa. Throughout each sight, he gave us all the history and background behind each place. Guinness was extremely knowledgeable and very personable in every single thing he did with us, throughout the entire tour. We not only met a great person, but made a true friend that will be part of the Ramapo Roadrunner family forever.

     In closing, both Montreal and Ottawa are  world class cities that are beautiful, clean, safe and have so much to offer a tourist. Mix that in with the talent and competition of the Canadian College basketball teams and you have yourself an amazing "Foreign Tour".  JD Sports made the trip very affordable and If your program has any interest in going on a foreign tour, I highly recommend you utilize JD Sports and request Guinness Rider as your own personal tour guide. I would personally like to thank John & Guinness again for your hospitality and all you did to create such wonderful memories!! "
